Dermatoscopy is a simple and reliable diagnostic method based on the analysis of skin changes performed in big focus.  In the hands of an experienced oncologist a dermatoscope becomes a perfect tool that facilitates the right diagnosis.  This can be a life-saving factor in case of melanoma detection in its early stages.

Dermatoscopy is a painless, non-invasive examination with the possibility of computer archiving of the inspected lesions and comparing them time and time again. It allows detection of melanoma and skin cancer much earlier when compared with traditional methods (naked eye examination).

The light used in the dermatoscope pervades skin which makes its deeper layers become visible.
