Surgical biopsy

It is a standard method of removing a suspicious or affected lesion. 

Once anaesthetized the skin fragment affected by the lesion plus some of the surrounding normal tissue is removed. Then the tissue is sent to pathomorphological laboratory where it is being thoroughly tested under the microscope by a pathologist.

The test results are next sent to the surgeon who, depending on their character, takes further therapeutic steps and informs their patients accordingly.
